Rest and Adventure at the Fox and the Firefly Cottages in Loboc Bohol

Dining by the river is truly sumptuous
In their exploration, they found the riverside town of Loboc in Bohol as an idyllic place to exercise their passion for sports and adventure, as well as to live with nature.
The outcome became Fox and the Firefly Cottages (check rates), a quaint inn along the ever-flowing Loboc River. It had stemmed from an idea to set up a cool place where they could operate Stand-Up Paddling (SUP) tours and now it is a favorite destination of backpackers, nature lovers, and adventure-seekers.
Fox and the Firefly Cottages, named after their dog Fox and the bounteous fireflies fluttering amid the trees at night, is a place, spewing with serenity and inspiration. It has three cozy cottages, which face a blossoming garden and the river beyond.
Embellished with bamboo wall designs and nipa roofing, the cottages are fan-cooled to allow the cool riverside breeze to pass through naturally.
The first two cottages can accommodate two people, while the third is a cottage dormitory that can fit up to 6 people. All cottages have WIFI connectivity, a veranda with a snug hammock for outdoor relaxation, and for nightly firefly-watching, plus scenic access to a nature-inspired bathroom to share among other guests.
Managed by health buffs and foodies, the menu is aptly a mix of vegetarian and gourmet meat dishes, comprising of fresh grilled fish, chicken hinalang, pomelo salad with grilled vegetables, tuna salad with edible flowers, fresh fruits, healthy juices, brewed coffee, freshly-picked buko juice, and more.
Guests can consume the food and drinks at their cottage veranda, at the main dining terrace, or on the bamboo ledge by the river.
Guests are never without an activity to do in this tranquil place, with a number of SUP and mountain biking tours, as well as yoga classes on offer.
