With temperatures in many parts of Sydney continues to rise, Etihad Airways wants to help Sydneysiders by offering some welcome respite from the scorching summer heat.
Not so long ago, the Abu Dhabi-based airline touched down in Australia and dispatched its cabin crew to give some ice-cold treats to Sydneysiders. Carrying eskies, the airline’s cabin crew handed out delightful white chocolate and rosewater-flavored ice creams to people in Newtown, Rushcutters Bay, and the CBD. The ice creams were exclusively made for this keep-cool mission by Gelato Messina.
Etihad Airways has published a video capturing the moments when its cabin crew took to the streets to surprise and bring sweet treats to help cool overheated Sydneysiders down.
Should you wish to get a glimpse of the said surprise-and-delight video, you may head on over to Etihad Airways YouTube channel and Facebook page. The airline encourages viewers to like and share it with their family, friends, and followers on their social media accounts.
Prizes were also given away
Apart from the ice-cold treats, the crew even dished out some exciting prizes to make people even happier. Some Sydneysiders bagged free tickets to performances at Sydney Opera House. A lucky person also won tickets for themselves and a friend to Abu Dhabi. That’s not all the airline has given away. It also picked two winners to receive a pair of tickets flying Etihad Airways to London. This could undeniably be a good way to escape the heat of Sydney.
“So sweet of you guys. Really nice video,” says Facebook user Reshma Vora, commenting on Etihad Airways’ video. “I’m quite excited to travel with Etihad so may be next trip with your flight.”
