Text DONATE to 3456 to donate to PLDT-Smart Foundation

Manila, Philippines — The PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and PLDT mobile subsidiary Smart Communications, Inc. have launched a Text-to-Donate drive for COVID-19 frontliners that enables Smart, TNT, and Sun customers to contribute using their prepaid load or donations charged to their postpaid account. Aside from health workers and other frontliners, the target beneficiaries include communities hard-hit by the public health emergency.

By introducing this convenient Text-to-Donate platform, PSF and Smart are making it so much easier for millions of its customers across the Philippines to unite for a good cause and contribute in their own little way – just by sending a simple text message.

To donate, Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers simply have to text DONATE and send to 3456.

Subscribers may donate in the amounts of 10; 25; 50; 100; and 500. For example, customers who want to send Php10 may just text DONATE 10 and send to 3456. The donation drive will run from April 22 to July 16, 2020.

Support COVID-19 frontliners, affected communities

Customers with successful donations will get a text notification. Donations will be deducted from their load if they are a prepaid subscriber, or will be posted on their next monthly bill if they are a postpaid customer.

PSF, Smart launch Text-to-Donate drive for COVID-19 health workers, frontliners

Smart will donate the proceeds in behalf of subscribers to the PSF, which has been mobilizing relief and response efforts to help health workers, frontliners, hospitals and poor communities affected by the pandemic.

This text-based donation drive is just one of the many ways Smart enables its customers to help those who are most affected by the pandemic with just a few taps on their smartphone.

Just recently, Smart teamed up with some of the country’s biggest musicians and artists for Smart Music Live Online Sessions, a series of live online shows meant to raise donations for COVID-19 frontliners. Through this, subscribers are encouraged to donate their MVP Rewards Stars via the MVP Rewards App to the PLDT-Smart Foundation.

All Smart, TNT, and Sun customers may also use the PayMaya app or go to http://donate.paymaya.com to send donations to the PLDT-Smart Foundation, as well as other charitable foundations and humanitarian agencies as part of the #OneAgainstCOVID19 initiative.
