Celebrating 60 Years: Singapore Airlines and the Filipino Customers Who Made It Happen

Manila, Philippines – Singapore Airlines (SIA) commemorated its 60th anniversary in the Philippines with a special, surprise celebration designed to express heartfelt gratitude to its loyal customers who have supported its growth and success over the past six decades. The festive event took place recently at the bustling Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Manila and also at the vibrant Mactan-Cebu International Airport, bringing together staff, passengers, and well-wishers in a memorable tribute.

SIA representatives and valued partners, such as NNIC and NAIA Terminal 3 leadership, marked the occasion with a cake cutting ceremony and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening air travel and connectivity to the Philippines and beyond.

SIA customers leaving Manila were greeted with anniversary-themed displays and commemorative postcards at the check-in counters. In the SilverKris Lounge, guests enjoyed specially crafted treats with local flavors, while those in the gate hold room participated in interactive games, took photos, and received free refreshments and anniversary giveaways. Before boarding, travelers were offered commemorative batik-designed cookies, and similar treats and refreshments were provided to passengers departing Cebu.
