In the Philippines, Asia World Hospitality, official representative of AHLEI, is offering certification programmes on guest service, hospitality educator and lodging security.

The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) programme is intended for practitioners and professionals across all front-line services, which include front office, revenue management, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, security, human resources and sales. This designation provides recognition for achievers in the field of hospitality and tourism who is able to deliver exceptional service through guest engagement and making experiences memorable for the guests. This particular designation is recognized worldwide and is considered the highest of its kind for award-winning guest service for employees in the lodging industry.

Where the CHE is a specialty programme and the CGSP module designed for all, the Certified Lodging Security Officer (CLSO) is a competency-based certification programme that recognizes the knowledge and performance of lodging security officers in the industry. It helps expand the knowledge of security officers on crucial issues tailored for hospitality industry situations such as child trafficking, expanded bomb search information, anti-terrorism and recognition of signs of terrorism, hostage situations, shelters-in-place, and the possibility of death of guests.

The Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) designation, on the other hand, is a professional development specialty programme designed specifically for postsecondary hospitality educators. This certification is for all hospitality educators across the spectrum, including the new and the seasoned educators, as well as industry professionals. The certification is valid for five years.

At the executive level is the certification for Hotel Administrators (CHA), the most prestigious certification available to hotel general managers and hospitality executives. It is an honour awarded to lodging professionals whose leadership and managerial abilities are exemplary.

AHLEI’s wide range of certification and training programmes will suit the needs of the local hospitality and tourism industry to upgrade their competencies to be at par with the international standards. The professional certification from AHLEI is a highly-respected distinction of professional excellence for the hospitality industry.
