AirAsia opens first airplane food restaurant in Kuala Lumpur
Good news to customers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Santan and T&CO, the in-flight menu brand of AirAsia, has opened its first flagship restaurant in the city. This fast-food restaurant is offering a multitude of Asean cuisines as well as coffee. It’s worth noting that its offerings are at affordable prices.

The company’s General Manager Catherine Goh believes that the launching of the said restaurant is only the beginning of something great for the Santan and T&CO in the long run.

“We have seen a significant appetite for our in-flight menu offerings beyond our flights across the region and this is our answer to that demand,” said Goh in a statement. “We are very proud to extend what started out as an in-flight menu into new markets and reiterate our support for local and Asean producers, suppliers; apart from creating new job opportunities with affordable franchising.”

Goh further stated that the company’s goal is to have five owned Santan restaurants by the end of 2020. The company also aims to target 100 franchise-operated restaurants and cafes in the next three years with expansions in global markets.
What is significant to note about the restaurant and café is that it comes with a smart menu. It boasts Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. What it does is to recommend renowned dishes based on time, demographic taste, and past ordering patterns.

All you have to do is to download the T&CO mobile app or head on over to santan.com.my.
