Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa Review

After visiting Baclayon Church and pasalubong shopping at Osang’s Broas in Baclayon, we proceeded to Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa for an ocular inspection. I’ve seen their brochures and promotional banners at most travel trade fairs, but it was my first time setting foot in this highly-reviewed resort in Panglao.

Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is one of the most popular resorts in Bohol. The resort is situated near the marine sanctuaries on the island. Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is located at Bingag, Dauis in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. The resort consists of elegant guest rooms and villas. All the Superior Rooms on the ground floor have a private veranda directly leading to the swimming pool. Most of the guests staying in the first-floor rooms also have private balconies. Travelers who prefer luxurious accommodation can choose villas with deluxe rooms and private outdoor swimming pools too.

Each room is complete with Remote control air-conditioning, In-room bottled drinking water, coffee & tea making facility, Hot and Cold Shower, Cable television, IDD/NDD telephone, Refrigerator and Minibar, Coffee & Tea-making Facility, Complimentary 2 bottles of Mineral Water daily, Basket of Fruits upon Arrival, Hair Dryer, Room Safe, Baby Crib upon request, 220V Electrical Points, Transformers (110V) upon request, Key-card Security Lock System, Veranda / Patio Furnished with a drying rack, a coffee table, and chairs.

The resort provides four types of room facilities for its guests. The Garden Bungalow has two bedrooms, a private swimming pool, and all the essential amenities such as a mini bar, iPod dock, television, hot and cold bathtub. There is also a Sea View Bungalow for couples with all the basic facilities, including a private swimming pool right outside the main access door.

They have different types of facilities for families, like the Forest Bungalow, which is a 2-floor building and can host a maximum of 4 family members. If you want to experience luxury, there are premium suites near the main swimming pool. It has elegant-looking rooms and classically designed beds, which make this type of accommodation attractive to sophisticated and luxury travelers.

Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa has seaside restaurants and poolside bars. Restaurants are open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. With its huge outdoor Verdant Pavilion, the resort can host big events such as wedding ceremonies, celebrations, and corporate events.

Active travelers can enjoy their recreation activities such as water sports, cycling, fishing, island boat tours, etc. If you want complete relaxation, Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa also has Mithi Spa, where guests can avail of various types of massage.

The resort’s concierge also provides services such as Airline bookings, Airport transfers, on-call doctors, currency exchange, and Wi-Fi hotspots on the premises.

How to get there

Panglao Island is just opposite Tagbilaran city. Visitors can reach the island by air via Tagbilaran City Airport or by boat from Cebu or Dumaguete.
