NCR Plus refers to Metro Manila and the nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

Subject to the observance of minimum public health standards, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution No. 115-A allowed specialized markets of the DOT which include staycation programs.

“While the IATF allowed our request to permit leisure travel under the current quarantine condition, we would like to remind everyone that the health and safety of our guests and tourism workers remain the utmost priority. These staycation hotels, all of which are star-rated, have the capacity and have been inspected and oriented on the new normal protocols to ensure this,” Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said.

DOT released Advisory No. 5 s. 2021 on the Operational Guidelines for Accommodation Establishments until May 31, allowing staycation in accommodation establishments that have been granted a Certificate of Authority to Operate for Staycation (CAOS) pursuant to DOT Administrative Order No. 2020-006-C.

Staycation guests must only come from within the NCR Plus area, and must not be below 18 or above 65 years old.

The 13 staycation hotels in NCR are Grand Hyatt Hotel, Okada Manila Hotel, Shangri-la at the Fort, Nobu Hotel, Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, EDSA Shangri-la Manila, Solaire Resort, Hyatt Regency and Nuwa Hotel of City of Dreams, The Peninsula Manila, Aruga by Rockwell, Sheraton Manila Hotel, and Hilton Manila.

Meanwhile, Puyat reiterated that these staycations hotels are not currently utilized as COVID-19 quarantine facilities.
