Cavite-Manila ferry service launched
Thanks to so-called water jeepneys, you can now travel from Cavite to Manila for only 20 minutes.
The ferry routes have already started last Dec. 8, 2019, and are now open to the public.

At the moment, there are two water jeepneys that are operational, which include the MV Island Sabtang that travels from the Cavite City Port terminal to the Lawton port. In the meantime, the MB Seaborne Mercury travels from the CCP Port in Manila through Cavite City Port terminal, which is near Cavite City hall, according to the article from CNN.

What’s good news is that lately it was announced that the MV Island Sabtang and MB Seaborne Mercury are offering free rides to passengers, according to DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade. However, it is for a limited time only – from Dec. 9 until Jan. 31, 2020.

With regard to prices, Regular / Adult will have to fork Php 200 out from their pocket. Student and Senior Citizen will pay Php 160 and Php 143 respectively. And, if you are with your kids (4-11 years old), they will need to pay Php 125 each.

Here is the schedule: CCP (6:00 AM); Cavite City (7:00 AM); CCP (8:00 AM); Cavite City (9:00 AM); CCP (3:30 PM); Cavite City (4:30 PM); CCP (5:30 PM); and Cavite City (6:30 PM).
Fare Prices and Schedule for MV Island Sabtang
If you are traveling via the MV Island Sabtang, of course after Jan. 31, here are the prices: Regular / Adult (Php 160); Student (Php 128); Senior Citizen / PWD (Php 114); Child, 4-11 years-old (Php 80); and Child, 0-3 years-old (Free).

Here is the schedule of the water jeepney: Cavite City (5:15 AM); Lawton (6:30 AM); Cavite City (7:45 AM); Lawton (4:30 PM); Cavite City (5:45 PM); and Lawton (7:00 PM).
