Wanderlust Hotel Review
Located in vibrant Little India, Wanderlust Hotel (hotel info) is our first stop right after our meet-up at the Changi Airport in Singapore. I was pretty excited to see the hotel since I have listed this boutique hotel in my bucket list after reading a review on one of my favorite travel blogs.

Wanderlust Hotel Review: A Boutique Hotel in Little India
I got a purple themed Pantone Room – a capsule-like room with two separate glass enclosed shower and toilet while the sink is located in between complete with quality toiletries made by Khiels. The room is quite small but the equipments are impressive and the concept is truly artistic. Since the room is small, I immediately noticed their Nespresso Machine and got addicted to it:)
Directories Room
A wide screen Samsung Flat TV is located right in front of my bed and I thought that was just perfect.. too bad I really have to sleep since our daily itinerary was full packed. The bed was definitely one of the best beds I’ve tried so far, It was so soft and extremely comfortable with clean bed sheets. The Wifi is free but I’m having a hard time connecting using my Macbook but I connecting using my iPhone is seamless.. Weird isn’t it?
Cocotte Bar & Restaurant
Buffet breakfast is already included in the price of the room, there were only few choices but the food is so good much like a home cooked breakfast in your own kitchen. I love their freshly squeezed orange juice, too bad they only serve one glass per person but you can order extra orange juice which will be charged to your room.
Cocotte Restaurant
One of the hottest things going in travel these days are little boutique hotels that offer impeccable service and a unique take on what it is like to be in a certain place. While some of them are more concept than comfort, some of them manage to fit both into one package. A good example of that is Wanderlust Hotel , one of Singapore’s newest and most unique boutique hotel concepts.

Born as a collaboration between well known boutique fiend Loh Lik Peng and some of the top local design agencies, Wanderlust Hotel (check rates) is like a thing from a luxurious dream. Sitting in a heritage building that used to be a school, on the outside, it looks like it always has, but once you step inside. Be prepared for something completely different. If you’ve been to Cirque du Soleil, you might just fell like you woke up in a different world.
Hotel Front Desk
From pop art to pantone colors while surrounded by Japanese origami and the fantasies of a vivid childhood. Be sure to look for the room that speaks to you because you will find that none of them are like any of the others.

Don’t worry though, while all of that sounds a bit like a technicolor nightmare, in fact, the place oozes luxury and relaxation in a bold way that truly works.
My Purple Maze Room
In total there are twenty nine rooms that start at SGD 189 and go up. Breakfast is included in that price and in room phones are free to use for local calls.
An old school building turned into a Design Hotel
There is free wifi throughout the building and each room comes with flat screen televisions, iPod docks, complimentary non-alcoholic mini bar, Nespresso machine, and Kiehl’s toiletries. There is also a luxurious sun deck and jacuzzi available.
Space Room at Wanderlust in Dickson Rd
It is situated in Dickson Road and its quite far from Orchard Road if you are aiming for shopping in Singapore’s shopping district. There is in house dining at Cocotte which serves a casual French menu and is a low key place to hang out with friends.
Wanderlust Space Room
The restaurant is open until 10:30 but if you want to hang out and have drinks you can do so until midnight. If you prefer asian food, you don’t need to look further coz you can find Thai and Chinese restaurants few meters away from the hotel.
If you are a business traveller, I recommend that you avail of the rooms in 3rd and 4th floor since the rooms are bigger and there are tables for your laptop. Overall, I love their charming and hospitable staff, great food and the concept of the hotel. I wish old buildings in Manila can be renovated and turned into something like this. My two nights stay in the hotel is not just memorable, its just absolutely perfect. You should definitely check them out.
