Do you really think Manila is not a perfect place for staycation? Convince me! Almost a month ago, I started my staycation series and believe me, Metro Manila has its share of beautiful skyline. I just love rooms with a view. Manila Skyline may not be as beautiful as Singapore or New York but watching the sundown from your hotel window is something that is more than just magical.
When I got an invite for a staycation at F1 Hotel Manila, I immediately said yes since I really don’t have travel plans for this month. The month of September is really ideal for staycation, not just because its a perfect month to save money but because September is usually a rainy / typhoon month.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we gathered at the Premier Lounge to meet fellow bloggers. After having a group photo, we headed to our respective rooms to leave our things and prepare for our next event — our Buffet Lunch:). F1 Hotel Manila invited us to tryout their early Christmas food offerings. Included in their lunch buffet is their holiday menu which combines luxury and the native sense trough various Yuletide dishes made impeccably different.
Highlighting the Filipino way of celebrating Christmas, F1 Hotel Manila’s Executive Chef, Sau del Rosario aims to put more exciting Pinoy Christmas colors into its menu.
The Philippines is known as the largest Cristian country in Asia and recognized in the world as the country that celebrates the longest christmas. To start the tradition, “F” – F1 Hotel Manila’s all-day dining restaurant is now offering a mouth-watering buffet that showcases some unique Filipino Christmas food.
Carvery, Cheeses and Edible Christmas Trees
Table of Contents
One of the special Filipino Christmas dishes that you will find in “F’s” buffet table is their Organic Lechon, Croquembouche, Queso de Bola Cheese Cake, Kakanin’s (rice cakes like Suman, Bibingka and Sapin Sapin), their famous salad bar and other Pinoy Favorites like Lamb Caldereta, Glazed Ham with fruits, Roast Duck a la Orange and More.
Organic Lechon – Located at their carvery station, this famous Pinoy food is probably the only food that we love to hate for its exceedingly high fat content but we always end up enjoying it. Don’t Worry, F1 Hotel Manila’s Lechon is Organic. The whole roasted pig is fed with natural and healthy food making it less sinful.
Croquembouche – A french dessert with a Pinoy Twist! These rich cream puffs are set-up into mini Christmas trees bursting with luscious Pinoy flavors such as Pandan, Ube, Strawberry and Pastillas.
Glazed Ham with fruits
Queso de Bola Cheese Cake – With its rich and creamy texture, consistency and just the right amount of sweetness, F1 Hotel Manila’s Queso de Bola Cheese Cake is one of the best cheese cakes I’ve tasted.
Other than the special Christmas dishes they have, their buffet table also has their all time favorite dishes like Stuffed Turkey with chestnuts, Seafood Paella, Glazed Ham with fruits, Chicken Galantina, Roasted Salmon, Roast Duck a la Orange, Chili Crabs, Grilled Vegetable Lasagna, Maya Maya Mayonesa and various types of desserts.
Operating hours of F Restaurant is from 6:00am to 9:00pm and The Canary Lounge is from 6:00pm to 1:00am daily.

My first Christmas Plate
I was given the opportunity to bring a friend but i preferred to stay solo, after all, I just really want to relax and catch up on sleep. I stayed at Room 1003, a Fort Suite with one king size bed and a huge receiving area just enough for a small group.
The room I got is spacious, modern and and the ambiance is really for Business travelers. Although the room does not have a terrace, the glass wall on my bed room provides a nice view of Bonifacio High Street and Serendra.
F Restaurant Lobby
I love their comfortable bed with clean comforter and pillows. The bathroom is not that big but not small either. I really like their rain shower and the overall design of the bathroom. There were two Flat TV’s, one is inside the bed room and one is at the receiving area.
F1 Hotel has 243 stylish guest rooms with 7 room categories like Superior, Deluxe, City Suite, Fort Suite, Executive Suite and Premier Suite to give its guests an unforgettable experience. All rooms are well appointed and include a choice of king or double bed.

Red Velvet Cake
My stay was perfect and seamless from check in to check out. I was truly satisfied with their customer service, Each time I call, they would just offer a call back once they already have an answer. They dont say no but instead, they ask their duty manager if the request can be granted. One instance was when I requested to have my massage treatment on my room. Few minutes later, I got a callback from the duty manager informing me that i can have my massage at the comfort of my own room. Yay!
Am I going back?
I had short but enjoyable staycation at F1 Hotel Manila and Yes, given a chance, I would love to go back and try their other amenities.
