Filipinos can now travel the world at a budget-friendly price without leaving the country. Opened last 2018, Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden displays some famous landmarks from around the world.

The Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is owned by Jan Yngvar Kolstø and Ann Dulogan Kolstø. The couple built the Park to share their experiences and trips from abroad with the Filipinos and promote tourism in Sikatuna by bringing a new tourist destination to Bohol.

The Park opens in separate phases, introducing new landmarks to the visitors. Phase 1 opened in late 2018, beginning with the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge of California, the Merlion in Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Soon to rise in Phase 2 are the Dutch Windmills of The Netherlands and the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. Phase 3 will bring Europe’s beautiful castles and chateaux and the historic Japanese Pagodas. Lastly, Phase 4 will present Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, London’s Big Ben, and the Petronas Twin Towers of Malaysia.

The Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is expected to be completed in 2023-2024.

Visitors can expect to see world-famous landmarks at the Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden. These landmarks include Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge of California, the Merlion in Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Visitors are recommended to tour the Park in the early morning hours when the air is crisp and fresh or in the late afternoon for milder temperatures and to appreciate the Park at nighttime.

Best time to visit the Park

The best time to enter the Park is at 5PM, when visitors can pay the daytime entrance fee and also see the fantastic nighttime view of the Park.

Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden exhibits scaled-down versions of world-famous landmarks. Visitors can explore Phase 1, beginning with Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Golden Gate Bridge of California, the Merlion in Singapore, and the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Aside from landmarks, the Park has a botanical garden filled with palms and orchids. Visitors can walk along the Park and take the manicured walkways to enjoy the wonders the Park has to offer.

Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden is dog-friendly, and dog owners must adhere to the Park’s pet rules. Every Saturday from May through June, Café Acropolis offers live music visitors can watch. Visitors can dine in Café Acropolis and indulge in local Filipino dishes.

For the safety of the visitors and park staff, COVID-19 protocols are strictly followed. Visitors should wear their masks at all times.

How to get to Sikatuna, Bohol

Visitors from Manila can book a direct flight to Bohol–Panglao International Airport via AirAsia and Philippine Airlines.

AirAsia flies to Bohol–Panglao International Airport at the following schedules.

  • MNL-TAG – Daily flights (Z2350) with a travel time of 1.3 hours. Flights depart at 7:25AM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 8:55AM.
  • TAG-MNL – Daily flights (Z2351) with a travel time of 1.25 hours. Flights depart at 9:25AM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 10:50AM.
  • MNL-TAG – Daily flights (Z2358) with a travel time of 1.25 hours. Flights depart at 11:35AM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 1PM.
  • TAG-MNL – Daily flights (Z2359) with a travel time of 1.3 hours. Flights depart at 1:30PM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 3PM.
  • MNL-TAG – Daily flights (Z2354) with a travel time of 1.25 hours. Flights depart at 5PM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 6:25PM.
  • TAG-MNL – Daily flights (Z2355) with a travel time of 1.25 hours. Flights depart at 6:50PM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 8:15PM.

Philippine Airlines flies to Bohol–Panglao International Airport at the following schedules.

  • MNL-TAG – Daily flights (PR2773) with a travel time of 1.20 hours. Flights depart at 9:50AM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 11:10AM.
  • TAG-MNL – Daily flights (PR2774) with a travel time of 1.20 hours. Flights depart at 11:50AM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 1:10PM.
  • MNL-TAG – Daily flights (PR2777) with a travel time of 1.20 hours. Flights depart at 2:05PM and arrive at the Bohol–Panglao International Airport at 3:25PM.
  • TAG-MNL – Daily flights (PR2778) with a travel time of 1.20 hours. Flights depart at 4:05PM and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 5:25PM.

From Tagbilaran City, take a bus or jeepney bound for Sikatuna from the Dao Integrated Bus Terminal. Once in Sikatuna Public Market, take a tricycle or the haba-habal going to Libjo. Inform the habal-habal driver that you are headed to the Mirror of the World and Botanical Garden.

Visitors taking a private vehicle can navigate using Waze or Google Maps. Search for “Sikatuna Mirror of the World Park” and follow the directions.

How much is the entrance fee at Sikatuna mirror of the world?

  • Daytime Operating Hours: 7AM to 6PM
  • Daytime Rates (per head): PHP150 (Adults); PHP50 (Child below 3 feet); PHP120 (Senior Citizens and PWDs)
  • Nighttime Operating Hours: 6PM to 9PM
  • Nighttime Rates (per head): PHP170 (Adults); PHP50 (Child below 3 feet); PHP135 (Senior Citizens and PWDs)
