Romantic Baboy Review
Ready for an all-you-can-eat barbeque?
Obviously, K-drama has played a huge role with the Filipinos love for Korean food – Samgyupsal or kimchi to be specific. There is also denying with Korean restaurants flourishing not only in the Metro but in different regions of the country as well. In fact, Korean barbeque continues to be Manila’s biggest food trend especially in popular foodies’ destination – Poblacion and Tomas Morato.

Romantic Baboy Unlimited Korean Grill Review
Last Sunday, we got to try one of the most talked about unlimited Korean barbeque restaurant with no-time-limit policy; Romantic Baboy located at Solenad Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
The Unli Samgyupsal Experience
Just like any other unlimited-Korean barbecue restaurants, expect a long queue especially on weekends. Since we got here before 11 am, we got to skip the long lines and choose our table upon entering. It has a very raw industrial-theme interior and a space which can accommodate up to 100 diners. When it comes to its location, it’s very easy to see! Just look for the huge pig statue beside Contis restaurant.

We also made sure to eat light breakfast so we can have plenty of space on our stomach for some unli pork and beef!

Here at Romantic Baboy, you can choose from their eight samgyupsal namely Herb Samgyupsal, Wood, Moksal, Daepae, Yangnum Galbi, Bulgogi, Spicy Beef, and Curry Beef.

There are various side dishes you can indulge from the stir dried fish cake, coleslaw, sweet potato, pa muchim (scallion salad) and the standard the rice, soup, and lettuce. But wait, there is also a slot in the grill area for cheese, egg, and kimchi, so feel free to dip your pork with it.
When ordering, you can choose your first two choices of pork, then choose another 2 when you run out of them. We’ve got to try two pork and two kinds of beef and we liked how well-marinated the Bulgogi and how huge the Herb Samgyupsal is. Definitely worth the bucks.

If you want to skip the unli pork part, Romantic Baboy also has a Bibimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice and Beef Fried Rice to make the Korean dining experience even more authentic.

Dining here is a total sensory experience. You don’t even need to call for an additional order as they will be approaching you for your next refill or change of grill pan. However, when I asked them the names of the side dishes, they seem to be lacking of knowledge about it. My other concern too was the size of the lettuce. Compare to other barbeque restaurants where you can fold the lettuce into three to four times with kimchi and other add ons, here at Romantic Baboy, the lettuce is as the same size as the size of the palm, making it harder to fold especially for big cuts of pork.
Romantic Baboy Price

You can enjoy unlimited grilled pork and beef cuts like woo samgyup, samgyupsal, bulgogi, pork ribs, and curry beef, to grill for only P499.
On the brighter side, Romantic Baboy is free of service charge making it a perfect place for those who dislike unnecessary charges.
