Pack your bags for another long weekend, October 25 declared as a Non-Working Holiday

So you don’t have any plans of casting your vote in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections? Good News!!!  Another long weekend is coming and you can now plan your next out-of-town trip! According to Proclamation NO. 48 signed by President Benigno Aquino III last thursday, October 25 will be a non-working holiday for the local workforce.

It is “imperative that the people be given the fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right t vote,” the Philippine President said in his proclamation. The holiday proclamation was signed last October 6 by Executive Secretary Paquito “Jojo” Ochoa Jr. and the President of the Philippines Benigno S. Aquino III
