Mr. Jiten Vyas, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Business Development, VFS Global, said, “This initiative marks a significant step forward in enhancing the travel experience for visitors to the UAE. By leveraging our long-standing partnership with Emirates and our digital capabilities, we are enabling a faster, more seamless visa application process that supports the UAE’s vision of being one of the most accessible and attractive destinations globally.”

Applicants must fulfill certain travel requirements to qualify, such as staying in the UAE for over 48 hours but not more than 14 days. Additionally, the entry date should be within 30 days of the application date. This permit is only available to passengers flying with Emirates, emphasizing the airline’s role in supporting seamless international travel to the UAE.

Applicants must also possess a valid residence permit from designated countries, valid for at least six months. Eligible countries include Australia, Canada, EU member states, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, the UK, and the US. US applicants need a valid permanent residency (Green Card); student visas are not accepted for this scheme.

These residency visa criteria are applicable to citizens of South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and Vietnam.

This updated permit highlights the UAE’s ongoing efforts to streamline entry processes, enhance the traveler experience, and promote safe, efficient travel. Through partnerships with Emirates Airline and VFS Global, the UAE now makes it simpler for eligible travelers to visit for short stays, whether for tourism, business, or transit.

VFS Global has partnered with Emirates Airline for over 24 years, processing over three million UAE visa applications. Via DVPC, it manages 27 Visa Application Centers in 15 countries and provides online visa services for travelers from more than 180 nationalities. This partnership has continuously contributed to Dubai’s tourism growth through targeted promotional campaigns and customer-focused initiatives.
