Over a hundred decorated bancas joined Banca Parada by sailing the stretch of Agno River along Sitio Bantayan, Barangay Pangapisan North in Lingayen towards Bañaga Bridge in Bugallon town culminating Pangasinan Pistay Dayat on May 1.

The fluvial parade is a celebration of clean river showcasing the provincial government’s serious effort in restoring the river to its original clean and healthy condition thru the massive river clean up drive program of the administration of Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr.

About Pistay Dayat

Pistay Dayat started as a local thanksgiving festival. This festival is now considered as Pangasinan’s Festival of Festivals. During Pistay Dayat, nine popular festivals in Pangasinan are featured in one grand parade. The festivals featured in the grand parade are the Galicayo Festival of Manaoag, Pandan Festival of Mapandan, Longganisa Festival of Alaminos, Sugpo Festival of Binmaley, Mango and Bamboo Festival of San Carlos City, Puto Festival of Calasiao, Binongey Festival of Anda, Sawali Festival of Labrador, and Pista’y Dayat.
