National Geographic Traveler includes Pangulasian Island in their Top 10 Best Spring Trips for 2014

A beautiful island in the Philippines, Cooler wine regions in Chile and Tasmania’s wilderness walking tour, these are three of the Top 10 Best Spring Trips for 2014 recently handpicked by by National Geographic Travel.

Each year, the National Geographic Travel Editors are releasing a helpful and interesting list of great spring vacation destination ideas that involves activities like hiking, walking or scenic drives.

Pangulasian Island, one of the most beautiful island in El Nido, Palawan is the only destination in Asia included on this years list. A luxury island hideaway in Bacuit Bay in El Nido Palawan, the resort is set fronting a pristine beach and against a backdrop of tropical forest.

The best time to visit El Nido Palawan is between March to June since its the Sunny and dry summer season in the Philippines.

How to get there

Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) offers daily flights from Manila to El Nido, Palawan. Travel time is approximately 55-minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft. From there a 25-minute boat ride follows to take guests to Pangulasian Island.

Flight reservations on ITI may be made through El Nido Resorts. Regular flights depart Manila at 7:30AM daily. Return flights depart El Nido, Palawan at 9:30AM.

El Nido is also accessible by land from Puerto Princesa City and from Taytay Town, Palawan. It takes approximately 6-hours to travel by land from Puerto Princesa City to El Nido, while it takes 1 ½ hours by land to travel from Taytay town to El Nido.
