Are you ready for the 2014 Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival? Save the Date: This years festival will be 5 days long which will start on February 27 till March 3, 2014 in Villa Malasimbo, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.

Headlining 2014 Malasimbo Festival is Jose Gonzales, Robert Glasper Experiment, Roy Ayers & Lonnie Liston Smith, Mad Professor, Osunlade, Omar, Greg Wilson, Mark De Clive-Lowe, Low Leaf, June Marieezy, Jordan Rakei, Heavy Boogie. More to be announced soon!

There are also rumors that Johnny Depp and Uma Karuna Thurman will be in Puerto Galera for the Malasimbo Festival 2014.

The Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival started in 2011 but it is now becoming one of the most popular Music Festivals in Asia. Unlike other music festivals, local and renowned international musicians are performing in a natural amphitheater in the middle of a tropical garden inside Villa Malasimbo.

The festival grounds is situated on the foothills of the majestic Mount Malasimbo where its most prominent feature is a grass-terraced amphitheater that overlooks the bay, renowned as one of “The Most Beautiful Bays in the World”.

How to get there

Puerto Galera can be reached via Batangas port. To reach Batangas Port, take Batangas-bound buses the get off at the port. Travel time to Batangas pier will take more or less 2 hours. From Batangas Port,  it will take 1 to 2 hours ferry boat ride to reach Puerto Galera.
