Check these countries that require polio vaccination certificates for Filipinos upon arrival

No one can deny that the re-emergence of polio in the Philippines has been the talk of the town in the past months. Back in September, reports say that there had been a polio case in the Philippines – this was after almost 20 years when the Philippines was deemed polio-free.
Now, some countries require travelers, including Filipinos, to present polio vaccination certificates the moment they arrive from the Philippines to these counties.
Without further ado, here are the countries that do not grant visas or entry permits if travelers do not submit the said certificates as reported by the ABS-CBN News.
The country requires that travelers who arrive and go to countries affected by polio should be vaccinated.
Vaccination is a requirement for those who arrive from so-called polio-exporting countries.
Travelers who arrive from countries with polio cases should present vaccination certificates. Those who can’t provide such a document, however, should need to take the oral polio vaccine, which the country will give at the border.
People who are going to travel to and from polio-exporting countries should have to present a proof of vaccination.
It is a necessity for those who wish to travel to this country, especially those who come from affected states and territories, to provide an international certificate of Immunization against poliomyelitis. Note that this certificate should show that the traveler has taken a dose of the vaccine for 12 months and four weeks before their departure.
The country requires the same international certificate of vaccination along with the administration of mandatory oral polio vaccine (OPV).
Travelers from countries with polio cases should show proof of polio vaccination.
Those who will arrive from polio-exporting countries should be required to submit an international certificate of polio vaccination.
It is also a requirement for travelers who are coming from countries with polio outbreaks to present a certificate on polio vaccination.
The said recommendation also comes from the World Health Organization.
So, when you decide to head to these countries, make sure that you have received a poliovirus vaccination and have gotten the international certificate of polio vaccination, which is the requirement of the territories mentioned above.
