Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort Review
Table of Contents
If I were given the chance to spend an entire week or month outside of the Philippines, I would choose Bali without second thoughts. Bali is the ultimate dream destination.

It is one of the most famous tourist destinations not just in Southeast Asia, but in the entire world: notable people who chose to spend their summer in beautiful Bali include former president Barack Obama and his family. This paradise is just too stunning to miss.
Somewhere in Bali lies Kuta, which, among all the villages in Bali, is the most blessed one. It has an awesome location near Ngurah Rai International Airport, it is located in the southern part of the island with direct access to the sea, and it is relatively more affordable and very accessible.
One highly recommended accommodation from this area is Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort (check rates), which gives guests the comfort of privacy while emphasizing the heavenly features of Bali.

About Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort
Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is an award-winning hotel that has been marrying hospitality with the surrounding tropical paradise that is Bali since they opened in 2012.

I stayed as a part of a famtour in one of my recent wanderlust escapades.
The resort was stellar. The open-air terrace of my room, the rooftop pool which overlooked the Indian Ocean and Bali’s well-endowed environment, and the spacious property with a well-kept courtyard were nothing short of astonishing.

The entire resort had 203 guest rooms and suites, which spanned for up to 265 square meters. Each room screams elegance and would lull anyone to enjoy their day like royals with the complete amenities and contemporary design. More on this below!
Location
One of the best things about Sheraton is that it has a balance of proximity: it is neither too far nor too close to the busier streets in Bali. It is just 5 kilometers from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, so it saves any traveler the hassle of long travel and spending what can be hours in traffic.

While the resort pampers guests within its enclosure, it also gives guests stress-free access to the Beachwalk Shopping Center, a large, open-air mall with over 200 retail outlets and shops. Other nearby tourist hotspots include Kuta Beach, Kuta Souvenir Market, Waterbom Park, and Ripcurl Surf School.
Arrival experience
My stay in Sheraton was perfect from the day I arrived until checkout. We were warmly and promptly greeted by the staff as if they were expecting us by the door. The lobby was golden in color, and the height of the ceiling was accentuated by the indoor balcony.

The staff assisted us with the luggage even before we got to the reception to check-in. The process was smooth and swift, and we were given a welcome drink to contribute to the overall refreshing and impressive arrival experience. The rooms were prepared before we could even finish our drinks.
My room
I stayed in Room 4027, which was conveniently just a few steps from the hotel lobby. Initially, I thought that its close distance from the lobby was going to be an issue, but there was never a day during my stay that I was disturbed by the anticipated busyness of the hotel lobby.

My room was magnificent. Aside from being soundproof, my bed was incredibly comfortable (thanks to the installed Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience), and the floor-to-ceiling glass door of the balcony was like a huge television screen that played the pristine scenes of Kuta. Air conditioning was perfect, and my room had some snacks prepared.

Meanwhile, my bathroom had a bathtub from which I was able to watch the TV from, and a gorgeous rain shower. The bathroom, which was subdivided by glass sheets, was classy and spacious. The toiletries were complete and premium.
Food
On our second day in the resort, we were invited by the resort’s General Manager, Dario Orsini, for a special breakfast at the Presidential Suite.

During our breakfast buffet, we had an extensive selection of food. These include:
- Cheese – Exquisa, Emmental Swiss, and gouda rye crackers, which went well with the mixed nuts and sweet red grapes
- Cold cuts – like chicken lyoner, salami, cured fish marlin, and prosciutto
- Bread – bread rolls, whole grain bread, croissants, Danish pastry, with complementary honey, jam, and everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, Nutella
- Omelet Station – I loved the smoked salmon and spring onions
- Scrambled egg station – fell in love with another seafood delight: their lobster and black caviar

Besides having those options, we had the lovely Mushroom Pate with Brioche and Asparagus, a plate of poached egg, served with Black Truffle with English Muffin and Hollandaise Sauce, and Dumplings and Butter Veggies. Adding to that was Yoghurt, where we had the option to get it plain or have it topped with dried or fresh fruits, muesli, or mixed nuts.

The resort has a total of three dining options for guests. One is the Feast, an all-day dining restaurant that boasts an open kitchen with a brilliant view of the Beachwalk’s patio and Kuta Beach; Bene, a fancy Italian restaurant where all meals are guaranteed sourced fresh (Ravioli, anyone?); and The Lounge by the beach, which has a wide-ranging menu of cocktails, drinks, refreshments, tea, and coffee, alongside comfort foods like Asparagus Salad and Club Sandwich.
Resort Facilities
Sheraton is ideal for guests who plan to stay longer than average because it is complete with facilities that give you no reason to step out. There is the Sheraton Fitness gym, which offers training programs. Just nearby is the Shine Spa, which has a team of professionals who will pamper you with relaxation and revitalization the Balinese way.

For those with kids, the Play@Sheraton Kids Club will keep the young ones busy, as they promote “Edutainment”, which not only keeps children up to 12 years old entertained, but also intellectually stimulated.

The resort also possesses over 1,600 square meters of event spaces, including a ballroom that comes with a secured underground parking facility.
WiFi and Internet
The entire resort is connected to high Internet speed, which is very convenient for digital nomads such as myself. The Link@Sheraton may also be explored by business travelers, who may need printing services, personal computer stations, and faster Internet connection.
Departure
I was really hesitant to check out from Sheraton. I was in love with the entire resort. It was handcrafted to perfection. Unfortunately, we had to go to our next stop, Ubud, after two nights. The checkout process was seamless.

Before leaving, everyone gave us heartfelt goodbyes. It was truly a wonderful experience that I would love to relive the next time summer comes.

Overall, Sheraton Bali Kuta is highly recommended. Its accessibility, location, and completeness of facilities make it the perfect getaway for families, couples, and even people traveling for business. There is simply nothing that gets as close to perfect as Sheraton.
