Five Family-Friendly Upgrades from Takeoff to Touchdown with Sunlight Air’s FlyFam

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Philippines, with its many beautiful island destinations, has long provided families with a variety of options for vacations and holiday trips. From pristine sandy beaches to lively underwater landscapes, selecting the perfect family getaway destination is easy; the true distinction is in the experience of reaching it.

Recognizing this, local boutique airline Sunlight Air proudly launched its FlyFam program last May. The lifetime campaign offers a full suite of family services for the airline’s passengers. With family-first provisions and special programs for infants and children, Sunlight Air strives to make domestic travel memorable and convenient for everyone.

Here are five FlyFam highlights passengers can look forward to on their next family outing:

Infants Fly Free

To kick off the FlyFam campaign, Sunlight Air launched its Infants Fly Free Program on Mother’s Day. The program allows infants ages 0 to under 2 to fly with Sunlight Air at no cost on all its routes, as long as each infant is accompanied by one adult passenger. The first program of its kind in the Philippines, it means new parents won’t have to worry about the added costs of traveling with their child and will also get the priceless benefit of making new memories together in the skies.

Priority check-in and boarding for passengers with children

Families traveling with children 11 and under will receive priority boarding on all Sunlight Air flights and will be called to board immediately after the PLUS fare tier guests. Special assistance and access to priority lanes will also be available from check-in through boarding. This ensures families can navigate the entire journey with ease, even when airports become busy or overwhelming.

Flexible family seating

Sunlight Air ensures that families traveling with children are seated together and will not be separated without prior approval, providing peace of mind and easier access to their child’s needs. The airline recognizes the importance of offering a safe and comfortable environment for children, along with the reassurance of their parents nearby. Additionally, ground staff and cabin crew are authorized to make immediate seat adjustments if necessary to accommodate last-minute changes or specific requirements.

Luggage assistance

When disembarking, families will get priority for luggage handling, shuttle bus, and aircraft stairs. Sunlight Air aims to make the transition easier for parents with strollers, car seats, or large baby bags, providing support to help them care for their children more comfortably.

Sunlight Air Little Fliers Club

The Sunlight Air Little Fliers Club, launching later this year, is a loyalty and milestone program exclusively for children aged 2 to 11. It aims to turn every Sunlight Air flight into an exciting adventure from a young age. Kids can request a Little Fliers Card at check-in during their first eligible flight, which functions as a mini passport recorded by the cabin crew each flight. Members will receive an Activity Pack—such as a puzzle booklet or sticker set—and a special snack on every flight.

Family vacations are memorable but can often be stressful. Sunlight Air’s FlyFam program aims to make the journey smooth and enjoyable for both young travelers and their parents. With various programs and amenities, families can relax more and concentrate on creating lasting memories.
