Exploring Hanoi and Ha Long Bay

The blend of both Western and Eastern cultures is seamless and fascinating in the city of Hanoi. Most travelers are more familiar with Ho Chi Minh, which was once named Saigon and was of course made famous by the musical, Miss Saigon.

But skipping over Hanoi when doing a tour of Vietnam means missing most of what makes this country shine. Steeped in history and natural beauty, you can’t help but fall in love with the place: the French architecture, delightful cuisine, and the insanely good deals you can get when shopping in the Old Quarter are just a few of what you’ll experience when you stop by.

All Eyes on Ha Long Bay

One of the must-see tourist spots you can find in Vietnam has got to be Ha Long Bay. If you’re a fan of the popular television show, Top Gear, then you’re already familiar with this breathtaking site. With over 1,500 small islands that form a remarkable seascape, you can’t help but feel awed at how perfect nature can be. Don’t expect to find garish overdeveloped areas here, as most islands are uninhabited. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s visited by thousands annually and it’s a sight to behold.

The 13-megapixel snapper takes great photos in low-light and those in ample lighting are especially impressive. It has laser auto-focus that’s usually found in the high-end DSLRs and it enables you to capture your photos clearly and very quickly. LG simplified its camera interface so only the basic features are included but don’t think of that as a downside. It’s extremely user-friendly and with that quick focus, you can have all the time in the world afterwards to edit to your heart’s content.
