All of us were booked at Day’s Hotel Iloilo and since our contact was able to arrange for an early checkin, we went straight to Day’s Hotel to checkout our rooms, leave our things and freshen up a bit.
Netongs Original La Paz Batchoy
After almost an hour, we decided to have breakfast at Netong’s Original Lapaz Batchoy in La Paz Supermarket. Visiting this humble La Paz Batchoy place has been always part of my itinerary every time I visit Iloilo.
Classic Coffee at Madge Cafe
Our next stop was at Madge Cafe – a coffee shop also located inside the public market. Madge Cafe is the oldest Cafeteria in Panay and over the years, this coffee shop became one the favorite meeting places by Ilonggos.
Jelly Dessert at The Promenade
Its almost 11am when we left La Paz Market and headed back to Day’s Hotel to meet fellow bloggers, Jorry, Eric and Antoine Greg. For lunch, Day’s Hotel invited us to taste their famous Lunch Buffet at The Promenade. The buffet table has 7 different dishes which includes fish, pork, beef and vegetable.
Days Hotel Iloilo Hallway
They also have pasta and Mongolian Barbeque station for people who wants lighter meal. What impressed me is their desserts section. They have flavored Jelly’s, Leche Flan, various types of cakes, fruit salad and Halo-halo.
The Room
It was my first time staying at the hotel and I really admire Day’s Hotels consistency. All rooms I stayed in other Day’s Hotel branches are all clean and they have the most comfortable pillows and bed. Each room are complete with amenities like Cable TV, land phone, mini bar, complimentary WiFi access and safety deposit box.
