Parasailing in Boracay: Aerial View of Asia’s Best Beach
HELLO STRANGERS!
Dubbed the 24/7 Island, Boracay is the favorite destination for adventure seekers and party all-nighters. Indeed, there’s no dull moment in Asia’s Best Beach. From extreme watersports to an exquisite dining experience, everything is all here.
Arrival in Ilo-Ilo Pier
Aside from frolicking and all the partying, we came here on a mission. That is, to be pulled by a speedboat and then released into the clouds while being strapped on a beautiful parachute with the sun slowly setting on the background, not so detailed.
Caticlan Jetty Port Terminal
Our first-time trip to Asia’s Best Beach was almost cancelled due to a complication regarding our CDO flight, but thanks to our resourcefulness, we will now share our story with you.
Pump boat to Boracay Island
Travelling on a shoestring budget, we chose to do the cheaper alternative to go to Boracay. Onboard SuperFerry from Cebu to Ilo-Ilo overnight for twelve hours, we arrived at seven in the morning then availed a van for hire to Caticlan Jetty Terminal arriving just after lunch. Though quite exhausting, we were able to see Ilo-Ilo from its metropolis to its suburbs. After riding a pump boat to the island, we hailed a tricycle to Station 3 and checked in at La Carmela.

Boracay White Beach
Walking towards the beach to inquire about parasailing, you can’t help but be overwhelmed in the sea of people. Everybody is here! From a personal point of view, Boracay is like the Mall of Asia, crowded with its stores strategically scattered on the island and a bit pricy too.
Station 3
Cashing out almost four thousand pesos for the both of us, the package included a boat transfer to the floating platform in the middle of the sea, rental of life jackets, parasailing speedboat and equipment and of course, fifteen minutes of flying. With our imagination running wild, let’s do this!
On our way to fly high in the air
It all happened in a blink of an eye. One minute we were strapping on our vests, the next minute we were already up in the air with a glimpse of the magnificent Boracay Island on its entirety. We had prime seats to the showing of the stunning aerial view of Asia’s best beach.
That will be us in a few minutes
I can’t feel the tip of my toes. A mixture of fright and exhilaration, our lives depend on the strength of that overused single rope. The fear of uncertainty sets in. You’ll never know what will happen. You just got to have faith.

Like a human kite, you can feel the wind brushing up on your cheeks and a sense of nostalgia back to those days when all you did was play around all-day.

Party til you drop
It was metaphysical. The silence, so calming, you can hear your own thoughts. For a moment there, everything was in equilibrium. Finally, our first mission is complete.
