2013 Seoul International Fireworks Festival

Get ready for traffic jams and expect to see more DSLR carrying visitors hit the busy streets of Seoul this Saturday for the Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2013.

The festival is now on its 11th year, this fireworks festival will be showcasing a highly-anticipated fireworks show organized by international fireworks teams from Canada, Japan and France together with teams from Korea.

Apogee Fireworks from Canada will be showcasing their “Skyfall” theme. The Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks team from Japan will paint the sky like a Japanese garden and French team Ruggieri is setting their streaming lights show to opera music.

Due to the large number of visitors that are expected to attend the festival, the area will be partially blocked to traffic after 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and spend time around the festival venue prior to the show. There will also be a range of events held starting at 1:00 p.m. in front of Yeouinaru Station (Seoul Subway Line 5).

Admission to the festival is free of charge.
