For the 10th consecutive year, AirAsia has once again been awarded as the “World’s Best Low-Cost Airline” at the 2018 World Airline Awards by Skytrax held at Langham, London last July 17. Referred to by the media as the “Oscars of the aviation industry”, the World Airline Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry which are voted for by actual travelers.
That said, consistently being recognized by this independent award-giving body shows just how AirAsia has been committed to providing high standards of quality service.
To celebrate a decade of success, AirAsia threw a #WeAreAllChampions Gala Night at Midori Hotel, Clark Pampanga last July 24. The festivity was graced by the company management, trade partners and global passengers among others. The venue was filled with ravishing lights and colours while the guests were pampered with lavish dinner buffet and cocktails.
President and CEO of AirAsia Philippines, Captain Dexter Comendador welcomed the guests who participated in this special event followed by a moving speech from the Chairman of AirAsia Philippines, Marianne Hontiveros.
Adding some more beauty to the already beautiful night is the gorgeous, Miss World 2013, Megan Young as the host.
Philippine parties will not be complete without showcasing the world-class talents of us Filipinos. Here, AirAsia’s All Stars gave a graceful and kickass dance performance. The stage was filled with so much energy and the crowd grooved to the beat.
The dance production was then followed by a beautiful song number by AirAsia’s All Stars Nightingales. All eyes on these two beautiful ladies singing with a mixed sound of classical and modern music.
The celebration continued with more special guests. Keith Martin sang the classic “Because of You” while Quest performed his “Sige lang” with the audience singing with him.
The Philippines Queen of R & B, Kyla, capped the night off with her astounding high notes and dance moves. With her grand performance, the audience started to stand and dance with the beat.
With AirAsia’s strategy of embracing technology to reduce cost and enhance service levels, it looks like it’s not going to take long before the company’s vision of becoming the largest low-cost airline in Asia with a goal of extending services to billions of people, especially those who are underserved with poor connectivity and high fares, becomes a reality.
Truly, now, everyone can fly!
