A taste of Summer
Cool down the tropical heat with Starbucks’s summer-exclusive blended drink that packs a punch: Mixed Berry Frappuccino with Pomegranate Pearls. This smooth and fruity concoction, which will be available on April 9 until June 3 only, is made with mixed berry sauce blended with velvety milk, topped with cream to balance its tart berry flavor.
“One of our best-selling iced tea drinks (Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea) has been very popular because of these pomegranate pearls, [that’s why] we decided to offer this as an add-on to your frappuccino and teas,” said Category Manager Jamie Silva during Starbucks’s Siren Island summer kick-off event.
Alongside this offering was the introduction of the coffee company’s three new core drinks—the Triple Mocha Frappuccino, the Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino, and the Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino—which you can order starting April 9.
“Since the Mocha Frappuccino was introduced 24 years ago, it has actually attracted our younger customers to begin their journey with Starbucks,” added Silva. “While these frappuccinos are fun and indulgent, we also want to make it a little coffee-forward; just to add a little kick to your favorite beverages.”
The Triple Mocha Frappuccino is loaded with dark mocha sauce layered between cold-brew infused whipped cream, white chocolate, and dark caramel. The new Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino blended beverage, on the other hand, offers layers of signature whipped cream infused with cold brew, white chocolate and dark caramel.
Another drink added to the regular menu is the Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino, a confectionery-inspired blend of chocolaty chips, mocha sauce, raspberry and vanilla syrup, topped with whipped cream.
Every purchase of the featured Frappuccino blended beverage of the day, of any size, using the Starbucks PH mobile app will automatically earn two (2) Beverage Stars. For April 9, it’s Triple Mocha Frappuccino; April 10 is Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino; April 11 is Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino; and April 12 is Mixed Berry Frappuccino.
For pastry and sandwiches, there are new inclusions in the menu that will be available from April 9 to June 3, namely: Apple Butterscotch Cheesecake, S’mores Cake, Banana Chocolate Chia Cookie, Cheese Danish, Sausage Mushroom Puff, and Chicken Parmigiana. Starbucks also offers a tropical treat in the form of fresh coffee beans with the new Starbucks Kopelani Blend (Php695), a blend that brings the flavors of Hawaii into each cup. At the heart of this summer creation is the Hawaiian Ka’u coffee, combined with East African and Latin American beans which enhances the nutty notes and caramel sweetness, for which Ka’u coffee is known for.
Customers can also avail themselves of the summer-inspired Starbucks Botanical card, which features island scenes and tropical plants, available for an initial activation amount of Php300. Another fun and cute design is the new Popsicle card, also available for an initial activation of Php300.
For those heading to the beach, Starbucks designed a set of summer merchandise called ‘A Day in The Island’ collection, which features designs depicting island scenes from sunrise to sunset and tropical plants. Meanwhile, the ‘Gold’ collection captures the glow and shimmer of the season with its golden-painted tumblers in new and classic shapes.
