Father’s Day Treat at Discovery Suites Ortigas
For all that he’s done for us, Dad deserves a treat on his special day. One of the best ways to celebrate Fathers day is to let him experience fine dining treatment at the home of the best tasting Steak in town.
During my recent stay at Discovery Suites Ortigas (hotel info), I was able to taste their Special Fathers Day Menu at 22 Prime Restaurant. The multi-awarded 22 Prime is Discovery Suites’ flagship restaurant, widely recognized as the country’s foremost name in US Prime Angus Steaks. Located on the 22nd floor with a stunning view of the Ortigas skyline, this meat-lover’s mecca offers an excellent selection of choice cuts, as well as an array of accompaniments and alternative seafood options in an impressive showcase of Executive Chef Gerwin Bailon’s culinary skills.
For appetizer, we sampled Butternut Squash Cappuccino with bacon crisp and for main course I tried their Grilled Snake River Farms Wagyu Skirt Steak with truffle barley risotto, porcini mushrooms and thyme jus. If you love seafood, you can also try their Seafood Skillet Stew served with baguette, capellini and arugula pasta on the side.
For desert we had Tiramisu Cheesecake with coffee liquor shots.
Don’t worry too much about the cost, its not as expensive as you think. This Steak set meal is available only for Php1,920 per person while the Seafood set is priced at Php1,175. (Rates are subject to service charge)
