Etihad Airways Celebrates 10th Year of Qatar Route

Etihad Airways celebrates its 10th year of serving flights to Qatar. The famed airline company decided to make this celebration more special by offering nine additional flights to Abu Dhabi – Doha weekly. This move is considered beneficial as it makes it possible for the airlines to reach its key markets in the region.

The airline company will implement the new services by August 1. By then, the company will add 37 services to Qatar’s capital city. The company will offer daily morning flights while setting up evening flights out of the city every Thursdays and Saturdays. With these new services, customers will have flexible options in setting their travels while promoting convenience. This is also a good opportunity for business travelers to enjoy better flight choices to suit their schedule, particularly in traveling to Abu Dhabi and Doha.

Additional frequencies not only allow business travelers to take a trip between the two points; other travelers will also enjoy Etihad Airways’ network of services throughout the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and Indian Subcontinent. What makes this new service more advantageous is that it will benefit the peak travel months during summer.

Opened in 2006, the Doha route received numerous increases in frequency from the Etihad Airways to meet the growing demands. This demand allows more connectivity that spurs from the Abu Dhabi point.

According to Etihad Airways Senior Vice President Global Sales, Daniel Barranger, Qatar is an important market for the airline company. In line with this, the company continuously developed the Doha-Abu Dhabi route since 2006. The company decided that it is best to celebrate its 10th anniversary by upgrading the link between the two cities and by offering new flights weekly. The senior vice president also noted that it displays the company’s commitment to Doha’s market.

With the new schedules, more flights reaching European cities will be available to guests traveling from Abu Dhabi. Cities covered by these new lines include Rome, Munich, Dublin, Manchester, London, Istanbul, Athens, Geneva and Madrid. Indian cities that the new connections will reach include Dhaka, Cochin, Calicut, Delhi, Kathmandu, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

On the other hand, United States cities will also become more accessible from Doha with these new Etihad Airways flights. City gateways include Dallas, Washington, New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. Together with these new connections, clients can also take advantage of US Pre-Clearance custom facilities and immigration at Abu Dhabi International Airport. This lessens the time needed for immigration formalities upon arrival in the United States.
