Reasons Why Huawei P9 Plus Is Ideal For Travelers
Huawei P9 Plus created an online buzz after its local release a month ago. Being a huge Smartphone Photography fan, I finally decided to buy one to experience and review it but just like most of my friends, I also have this question in mind… Is the Leica brand and dual-camera design really worthy of the hype?

Advertised as a “plus” version of what most tech reviewers deem as Huawei’s first excellent smartphone product, P9 Plus stands out because it is has ultra light aluminium unibody construction, Dual-lens main camera, press Touch screen functionality, responsive fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and good battery life.
Here are five detailed reasons why:
It has a good camera.
Huawei P9 Plus has 12 MP dual rear and 8 MP front cameras. Its monochrome camera is also great for taking black and white photographs if you need to add some drama to your silhouettes. With an imaging subsystem which was co-engineered with Leica, you would be hard-pressed to find any other perfect camera phone for your travel photos. The camera perform well in outdoor photography as well as in indoor shoots with low-light condition.

To change the camera settings, all you need is to swipe it from the left for modes, while swiping in from the right will give you quick access to more camera settings.

It has a solid battery life.
This new phone can last up to 38 hours with Huawei’s smart power plan even with 10 hours of music playing, five hours of app usage and browsing and hundreds of notifications. There are also some aggressive power-saving modes available for Huawei P9 Plus which can lose power-hungry applications.
One other great thing about Huawei P9 Plus is its fast charging feature which means you can spend more hours trekking in the mountains or lounging on the beach instead of waiting for hours until the battery gets fully charged.
It is secure from travel-related theft.
Huawei P9 Plus has a fingerprint scanner on its back that is accurate and very fast, making it one of the first few phones released on the market with that feature. While it would not make it immune from being stolen, at least, you are assured that your files are still safe and that they would not fall into the wrong hands.
It has a large storage space.
Huawei p9 Plus has an internal memory space of up to 64 GB plus a memory card slot that can support up to 256 GB of external data. That is more than enough for the thousands of photos you will be taking for that dream three-day trip in Batanes.

It has top-notch connectivity.
The Huawei P9 Plus adheres to the 802.11 Wi-Fi standards and also has an infrared transmitter or booster. The new smartphone also supports 4G LTE networks and its data Internet speeds range from those of the GSM and HSPA speeds. This means you will not have trouble uploading the travel photos you take to your own Instagram feed to impress your followers.
There will also be dual SIM models available in certain parts of the world including the Philippines. The Huawei P9 Plus is set to retail at P29,990 and is now available in the Philippines.
