The Aristocrat Restaurant in SM City Dasmariñas

Out of spontaneity, you found yourself roaming around the streets of Dasmariñas, Cavite, perhaps after visiting your high school buddy or covering this area as part of your job. Now, you got no place to go and you’re really craving for some tasty authentic Pinoy food.

Well, look no further. Take a quick route to SM City Dasma and locate The Aristocrat Restaurant!

Filipinos are now accustomed to eating international dishes. In fact, you’ll see various international cuisines each time you visit malls and other food outlets. But no matter how much Filipinos love sushi, pizza, tempura, or bulgogi, we will always end up hankering for our own Filipino dishes.

And that hunger for Pinoy food can definitely be fed during Mall hours by trooping to Aristocrat Restaurant in SM Dasmariñas. Now, if you’re in the metropolis, you can visit its main branch along Roxas Boulevard or its Jupiter, Makati branch – its open 24 hours. For Imus residents, Aristocrat will soon open its standalone branch in Anabu Coastal, Imus Cavite. Way to go!

Now, you might just be wondering about my experience in The Aristocrat Restaurant. What I’d like you to do right now is just sit back and enjoy as I share with you, in detail, my awesome food trip.

Recently, I, together with some foodies, gathered at The Aristocrat, Roxas Blvd. for our scheduled food trip to Cavite. Anticipating the traffic, we began the trip starter from our meetup point, The Aristocrat Restaurant’s main branch, by having sisig, laing and caldereta for lunch. Several minutes before we left for Cavite, we satiated ourselves with a serving of puto bumbong and bibingka which was perfectly paired with hot chocolate made from locally harvested cacaos.

If Spain has Christmas food such as Roscón de Reyes, we have our very own bibingka and puto bumbong — both of which are served all year round at Aristocrat’s main branch which at a quarter of a century’s old still continues to promote Filipino food to higher levels.

Upon arriving in SM City Dasmariñas, we headed to The Aristocrat branch at the Annex part of the Mall. Minutes after occupying our reserved seat, we started ordering our food.

For soup, we tried Hototai soup, a Chinese egg drop soup that contains some meat and vegetables. Aristocrat’s chicken barbeque is definitely everyone’s favorite dish; however, this time we set our sight and taste on their equally delicious chicken honey which is a deep fried chicken that you will surely enjoy.

We all love pork, and at any given time, when available, almost everyone yearns for the crunchiness of crispy pata, lechon kawali and lumpia shanghai, so we didn’t disappoint our stomachs. We literally had a feast of these.

The Aristocrat Restaurant also serves Dinuguan which is normally paired with steamed rice or puto, but in this food haven, everybody loves to pair it with cheese roll.

If you really want to experience the best of The Aristocrat, then beef kare-kare is a must-try. Of course, we enjoyed it with The Aristocrat’s bagoong, an authentic recipe of Lola Asiang, the Lady who started it all.

Living in a country surrounded by waters, seafood should not be out of the food scene. To complete our main course experience, we ordered seafood kare-kare. To add more style, we took the liberty of mixing Chinese cuisine into our dining table by ordering sotanghon guisado and their ever famous pancit canton.

For dessert, we enjoyed torta de los reyes, the restaurant’s version of sans rival, crisp wafers with chocolate and butter icing, decorated with melted white chocolate.

After devouring the delectable dishes served to us, we all got lengua de gato for pasalubong. Whether these are pasalubong for your personal consumption or for your friends and family, these can be found in The Aristocrat’s own bakeshop offering a wide range of special cakes, sans rival, rolls, cookies, cupcakes, cream puff, pastries, and sweet dough fit for almost all celebrations!
