Western Visayas Tourism Department to publish a Travel coffee table book

The Department of Tourism in Western Visayas is coming out with a coffee table book within this month of February as part of its domestic tourism promotion.

The coffee table book will contain the glimpses of the iconic attractions in Western Visayas.

Each province in Western Visayas will be promoted through this coffee table book. In fact, they will each have a tagline.

Boracay Island – The Best Beach in the World

In the book, Aklan will be described as “Refine” to connote the white sand beach and the locally produced textiles made of fine pineapple fiber.  Antique will have for its tagline “Natural” because of its rustic sceneries, the rice fields, mountains and smiling children. There will also be the World’s biggest flower Rafflesia that is naturally growing in the wilds of San Remigio and Sibalom towns.

Guimaras will be “Enticing” as its World’s Sweetest Mango and the beaches.

Iloilo city and province for the rich heritage and culture with the frenetic Dinagyang Festival being held annually and also Bacolod city for the famous Masskara Festival.

Boracay island in Aklan province is simply “Irresistible” because of its nature’s beauty and bounty. “How can one get tired of such a paradise?,”

There will be many, many more captivating sites that will be presented in this coffee table book once it comes out from the printing press.

Mr. Edwin Trompeta – Western Visays Tourism Director said that copies of this publication will then be sent to the embassies, distributed to travel agencies and will be handed out during promotional or trade fairs to further entice tourists to come and visit the region which is so much blessed.
