Experience Dining and Music in the Highest Structure of BGC at The Grand Hyatt Manila
Manila, Philippines — The Grand Hyatt Manila is the tallest structure not only in BGC but in the Philippines as well and the luxury hotel stays true to its promise of #LivingGrand by opening The Peak which is a bar, a grill and a restaurant located at its 60th to 62nd floor.
The concept behind The Peak is penthouse living which is most of the time follows an open floor plan with a homey appearance. The Peak’s style is more like that plus when you go there, you get a full view of the Manila skyline.
The Peak gave the media a glimpse of their newest Grand Hyatt Manila addition. Guest will be treated to fine wine, rare whiskeys, live entertainment, and exquisite cuisine. Benjamin Shcertzer stated that they’re excited to open the doors of The Peak to their guests so they can have firsthand experience of the venue. He says that guests will never feel bored when they visit The Peak and discover what it has to offer.
A Different Kind of Gastronomic Experience
There are several parts of The Peak; the grill restaurant, music lounge, whisky bar, and The Peak Bar. They have an open kitchen where every guest can watch Chef de Cuisine Manuel Baenziger do his magic.
Guests can have a serving of Maryland Crab Cake then taste their special Australian Wagyu Rib Eye cooked to your preferred doneness. You can partner these specialties with new and old world wines. They have tables in their open-air terrace where you can take pleasure in looking at the stunning views.
Head over to their music lounge and listen to the performances of an international band, Legacy. Sing with Lucile Bannholtzer, Michele Iurili, Clifford Myers, Thomas Gilbert, and Rustein Merriweather. There will also be other performances by DJs at The Peak.
The other part of The Peak is the whisky bar which is perfect for guests who wish to unwind after a long day. There are leather chairs that abound the area and private parties can be held there for groups who like more quiet celebrations.
The Peak bar, on the other hand, is where guests can enjoy a glass or two of champagne and fresh oysters. There’s an open deck where guests can view the sunset or inside where the long table is.
Design Magnificence
Nao Taniyama & Associates is the international firm that provided the interior design of The Peak. They made use of traditional Filipino tattoo patterns and incorporated ‘touches of the local culture’ of Filipinos. These designs can be seen as soon as guests go to the main receiving area.
Nao Taniyama said that his vision for The Peak is a place that connects the past, current and the future of the country as well as Asia where everyone can see growth in a fast-paced way compared to other periods in the past. He added that the design aesthetic is also to visualize the future.
