Last July, I was lucky to experience staying twice at The Oriental Hotel Legazpi City on a separate occasion. My first was during Around Bicol in 30 Plates Food tour sponsored by Biggs Diner then a week after I visited Legazpi City again for the PHILTOA Bicol Familiarization tour.

Exquisitely designed in the tones of Classic Ivory, The Oriental Legazpi is one of the finest hotels in the region. The Oriental hotel is just a 5-minute drive from the Cathedral of St. Gregory the Great and a 10-minute drive from the LCC Mall. The Legazpi Domestic airport is barely a 15-minute drive away adding to the convenience of those visiting this place.

The Oriental Legazpi is the biggest and the grandest hotel in the city of Legazpi, the capital city of Albay. This hotel represents state of the art styling and elegance with a touch of sophisticated ambiance. The entire hotel is painted white and I liked it that way. The hotel lobby is so spacious and very pleasing to the eyes during the day.

Fantastic Rooms
On my second visit, I was lucky to have a room facing the beautiful Mayon Volcano. My Standard double rooms are spacious and the dominant white color inside the room is also relaxing. Some of the standard features in guestrooms include round the clock cable TV, mini bar, room service, bottled mineral water, high-speed broadband internet, tea/coffee maker and an executive work desk.

The room is complete with everything I need but what I like most is the nice balcony that provides a nice view of the beautiful Mount Mayon. Room Tip: Get a room facing Mount Mayon for a pleasant morning view.

Dining
The Jasmine is a favorite restaurant among visitors and guests that offers a wide range of mouth-watering local cuisines as well as well known international dishes. A cozy bar is located alongside this restaurant too. Jasmine boasts of 3 private rooms with a capacity of 20 each made exclusively for private dining. For those who prefer a more lively and informal seating space, the Lobby Lounge should be the ideal place to dine at.
