Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, a 5-star luxury hotel, is set to rise at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) on the fourth quarter of 2015. Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, is currently being constructed on 25.78 square kilometers of the lifestyle development area in BGC, which is also called the Fort.

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila will have 576 rooms, and standard guestrooms are designed to have at least 45 square meters of space. The luxury hotel will also have seven restaurants and bars. Its 6 000 meters of event space will include a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom, 11 function rooms, boardroom, business center, teleconferencing rooms, and an outdoor event area.
The tallest tower of Shangri-La at the Fort Manila will feature LEED-gold certified Shangri-La Residences, recreational club Kerry Sports Manila, and retail podiums with more shops and restaurants. The property is also committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standard of sustainable design. The 250-meter tower’s highest floors will also include Horizon Homes, a collection of customized homes.
When completed, Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila will add to the four hotels already standing on BGC.
Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, is Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ fifth property in the country. With one of the largest portfolios of conference and meeting venues in the city, Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila’s event spaces can suit any occasion. The pillar-less Grand Ballroom measures 1,800 sqm and can accommodate up to 1,800 guests at any given time. A junior ballroom, the Bonifacio Hall, measures 780 sqm, and can accommodate up to 715 guests. A total of 19 multifunction rooms are available on multiple floors of the hotel, defining versatility and flexibility to meet any event needs.
The Fort, formerly known as Fort William McKinley during the 1900s to the 1940s, was renamed to Fort Bonifacio in 1957 in honor of the Father of the Philippine Revolution Andres Bonifacio, a hero who fought during the Spanish Era in the Philippines. Come 2003, BGC started turning into its present state, from its multinational firms to its residences and hotels.
