Shack Art in the Park

Shake Shack was born from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park to support the park conservancy’s first art installation “I ? Taxi”, and art has remained a key way that Shacks connect with the local community and reflect the neighborhood.

Shake Shack partnered with local studio Bad Student, founded by Dyam Gonzales and Pau Tiu, to create a visual narrative of Makati’s development for the construction facade. Using large-scale Risograph printing, a stencil technique with vibrant colors, Bad Student-designed an architectural landscape showcasing the city’s iconic buildings with playful 3-D and LED element as well as energetic patterns inspired by local banig handwoven mats.
