Watch Wicked and Feel Good for Good
If you haven’t been “thrillified” by Wicked, the West End and Broadway musical that has inspired millions of audiences worldwide, then now’s the perfect opportunity to catch this amazing production live and up-close in Manila.

Wicked amazingly exhibits a beautiful story about love and friendship between two unique women who are sought to be antagonizing between each other, yet destined to be harmonious together despite their differences.

My daughter and I watched the show on its Gala Night and we totally loved it!

The scenes performed by Glinda, the Good Witch, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, both from characters originally narrated in the “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, were heartrending, especially the powerful melodic dialogues that they exchange with one another, naturally seep in the psyche of the audience, triggering an endless recall of songs like “Defying Gravity” performed by Elphaba as the Wicked Witch’s reaction to the propaganda made against her in the Emerald City, and “For Good”, a pivotal parting song between the two witches.

To give you an idea about this award-winning musical, Wicked is about Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda, the Good Witch, as depicted in the ingenious literary piece of Gregory Maguire, who amazingly narrates the story of two sorcery students whose drastic contrast interweaves them to the fulfillment of their dreams and desires, consequent to the most celebrated elements of L. Frank Baum’ ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’.
In this production, Jacqueline Hughes, who plays Elphaba, soulfully renders the emotions of the so-called Wicked Witch, whose integrity outstands throughout the story. The same goes for Carly Andersen, whose portrayal of the pretty, nice, blonde and self-obsessed Glinda, charms the hearts of everyone who sees her.

Another unforgettable scene is between Fiyero, the so-called “self-absorbed and optimistic prince” and Elphaba expressing their love for each other through their duet “As Long As You’re Mine”, which grabs the core of the audience’ underlying emotions.
Wicked is clearly as magical and as amazing as it appears to be, quite promising a significant and beautiful effect to every cell of its audience.
