3 Islands in the Philippines included in the 2019 list of Best Islands in Asia
In the latest “The World’s Best Awards 2019” list of Travelandleisure.com, 3 islands in the Philippines namely Palawan, Cebu, and Boracay bags places at Asia’s Best Islands (see list).

The list is weighed down on the travel website’s reader’s picks, considers activities and sights, natural attractions and beaches, food, friendliness, and overall value.
Palawan, without a doubt, has joined this year’s list again, but this time, ranking second to Sri Lanka, and one reader commended the island as the single most beautiful place he has ever seen. The island scored 90.87 in the ratings.

Last 2018, Palawan made it to the 5th place, Cebu in 6th, and Boracay at 8th place.
According to the site, the said beaches were a long-time favorite on the list because of “top-notch reef and wreck diving, white-sand beaches, hiking trails with waterfalls, and welcoming locals.
Travel + Leisure also included beach resorts in Boracay and Palawan, including Shangri-La Boracay Resort & Spa and El Nido’s 4 eco-friendly, waterfront Palawan properties.

This year, the site has included Japan’s Naoshima Island (No. 6), which also makes its debut on this list. This island is popular for its installations of contemporary art, and the site has also mentioned buildings and museums, as well as the Benesse House hotel, where each of the six guest rooms has a gorgeous sea view.
