New Uniforms for Cebu Pacific Flight Attendants
Cebu Pacific Air, the country’s largest budget airline, is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary in a month-long schedule of events and activities. A highlight of this celebration is the well publicized launching of their new cabin crew uniform on March 27, 2016!

The new uniforms were designed by Jun Escario, a known Cebuano designer popular for elegantly made formal wear and gowns. While already more than twenty years in the fashion industry, this is the first time his designs will be worn as uniforms by cabin crew of any airline.
Jun’s ensemble is the right combination of casual and classy – a perfect complement to Cebu Pacific’s image in the airline industry. The new uniforms still uses Cebu Pacific’s company colors of yellow and blue, although more pronounced and improved.
The current yellow shade is brighter and sunnier, while dark navy denim is used to represent the color blue. This color scheme is said to symbolize the bright sun and blue sky over aquamarine water.

THE TOP. Women will be wearing a top and cardigan that is a sunny yellow. The design also incorporates vertical darts as a slimming feature to ensure a flattering fit. This is complemented by a tropical print scarf of Cebu Pacific’s colors and a signature knot for a friendly pop of color. Men will be wearing the same fabric in collared polo shirt, and two buttons for that timeless preppy-casual look.

THE DENIM. Women will be wearing a knee length denim a-line skirt with bronze side zipper and an asymmetrical ruffle feature. Men are in a similar shade of denim pants with yellow stitching, accessorized by a classic black belt. The denim was chosen both for durability and its casual nature. The attendants look approachable, and the new uniform makes it easier for them to do their tasks inflight.
THE SHOES. Women will be wearing nude heels while men will be navy sneakers. Both footwear greatly complements the relaxed look and feel that Cebu Pacific aims to convey through their uniforms.

THE TRENCH COAT. A distinct feature of the new uniforms is the form-fitting denim trench coats that the cabin crew can use outside or when the plane gets chilly. The coats are worn best as ¾ sleeves to flaunt the dual tone of the denim paired with the button colors.

THE MAKEUP AND ACCESSORIES. Fashion designer Jun did not stop at the clothes. He completed the look with a standard look of natural makeup, pearl earrings, and braided bun that stays true to Cebu Pacific’s image of being friendly. It also comes with a standard straw fedora hat which the crew can use especially when outside the aircraft.
The look may be different, but it pays homage to the brand that Cebu Pacific has made us all love. A airline carrier that is budget-friendly and no frills but also warm and accommodating. We’re all excited to see these new uniforms in action just in time for the summer break!
