Home decor enthusiasts, say hello to IKEA in the Philippines!

Global home furnishing brake IKEA is set to transform the way Filipinos decorate their dwellings as the first batch of IKEA range finally arrived in the Philippines.

On June 7, IKEA Philippines posted on their official Facebook page snippets of cargo that contain the first batch of their range in their very first store in the Philippines.

The post says “Today, IKEA Philippines celebrates an important milestone! Our first batch of IKEA range has finally arrived in IKEA MOA, Pasay City. We can’t wait to unbox these and make them available to the many Filipinos!”

As of writing, the post garnered almost 10,000 comments and 3,000 shares which further excited many Filipinos who have waited for the brand to establish a store in the Philippines for so long.

Known for its aesthetically pleasing and functional home items, IKEA is the go-to furniture brand of many people all over the world.

Currently, the first IKEA store in Manila is still under construction, located at the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City. According to their website, the store is set to open its online store soon so that customers who live outside the metro can still shop for their products conveniently online. Delivery will be available to those living within the Greater Manila Area.

While in quarantine, a lot of Filipinos have resorted to redecorating their home with the help of DIYs and YouTube tutorials without breaking the bank. More and more Facebook groups have sprouted related to interior design, wherein many stuck-at-home people have shared their current home situation by posting photos of their inspiring beautiful homes.

Aside from IKEA’s home products, they have also become famous for their iconic meatballs, which feature the taste of Swedish culture. It’s served with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam, and cream sauce, which make for a feast of flavors in your mouth. A lot of people who have tried IKEA’s restaurant have commended their food, and for sure, the foodies of Manila can’t wait to try it out when it arrives in the Philippines, too!
