I’ll be honest with you. I hate rainy season. Aside from the fact that I live in the Old City of Manila that is usually underwater during Monsoon, this season also prevents me from doing things that I love and that is exploring places within the beautiful archipelago. While I love spending time in the beach even during rainy season, I hate the process of rebooking tickets whenever there are flight cancellations.
Garden Cafe Restaurant at Luxent Hotel
Although there are so much things to do in the Philippines during rainy season, my favorite would be staycation. Last weekend, I stayed in one of the newest hotel in the Metro – The Luxent Hotel in Quezon City (hotel info).
Luxent Hotel Lobby
Conveniently located at the heart of the Philippines Entertainment Capital, a new hotel welcomes Business and Leisure travelers into its classic but elegant rooms and a number of recreational facilities. What I like about this hotel is its close proximity to many businesses like famous restaurants, Coffee Shops, Bars, Shopping Malls, Spas and other service providers.

Table of Contents
Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately impressed with their high-ceiling lobby and the spacious Lush Bar & Lobby Lounge. The check-in process was seamless and the staff at the concierge was so kind to accommodate my request to change my room from non-smoking to a smoking room at the 7th floor. First impression? It was Grand but not too intimidating unlike other Business Hotels.
Huge Bedroom with a Veranda

I stayed at the 7th floor in a standard Superior Room with two queen size beds, a wide-screen LCD televisions, In-room safety deposit boxes provide, coffee making facility, a nice shower area and a veranda since I requested for a smoking room.
The rooms are spacious, generously furnished, stylishly decorated and complete with free Wi-Fi access and comprehensive security system.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The resort has a leisure hotspots like a well-equipped gym and a unique infinity pool both located at the 6th level of the building. It was sunny saturday morning when I woke up so I took the opportunity to tryout their pool. The adult swimming pool was not that huge but I like its unique design. I also enjoyed the fantastic birds eyeview of the nearby establishments at the pool area.

Pork Shoyu Ramen
Chocolate Cake for Dessert
Upon arrival at the hotel, I had lunch with their super friendly marketing staff at The Lush Bar & Lobby Lounge. Their Menu has a little bit of everything for everyone. From Japanese to Western Food, to local favorites, you will never ran out of choices.
I tried their pork shoyu ramen with quail eggs and seafood teppan – a platter with a mix of pan-fried salmon, tuna and shrimps with sautéed mix vegetables. The Lobby Lounge was full when I arrived but surprisingly, I didn’t wait long before the food was served and the food was really good.
Ice Cream Sandwich
I also tried their dinner buffet and the selection of food was really impressive. They have Lechon every weekend and they have a Japanese section where you can get unlimited Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura. The buffet spread has Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Filipino fares.
Lechon at the Buffet Table
Aside from various International dishes available on the buffet table, they also have a barbecue section, salad bar, Ice Cream section and dessert bar. Tip: Their Avocado Ice Cream is to die for.
On my second day, I had breakfast at their Garden Cafe Restaurant. They have a good selection of soft breads, Pastries, fruit jams, cereals, soups, salads, and savory dishes like longganisa, hotdog, corned beef, grilled fish etc. My favorite would be their ensaymada and their delicious waffle.
Ensaymada for Breakfast
Bangus Belly for Breakfast
I also tried their in-room dining for lunch. The menu they have for in-room dining is almost the same as the one in Lush Bar & Lobby Lounge. We ordered fruit platter, Vigan Longganisa Meal, Pancit, Seafood Ramen and Mango Shake. I really like the idea of dining inside the room, It’s best for people like me who enjoys blogging/working inside the hotel room.
Pinoy Food for Lunch
Waffle for Breakfast
My stay at Luxent Hotel was truly a memorable one. Aside from the Amazing culinary treat, I also enjoyed all the amenities they offer. Its a perfect hotel for people who loves Staycation. From the interior design, amenities, facilities, food and their friendly staff, everything was truly outstanding.
