Clark Marriott Hotel Review
Clark Marriott Hotel organized a German Oktoberfest on the first weekend of October 2022. As we attended the event, we got the chance to stay at the hotel and experience the well-loved Marriott Hotels’ hospitality.
Clark Marriott Hotel definitely fits the bill if you’re hunting for a 5-star hotel near Manila for your next staycation. Expect world-class service and luxury lodging in this hotel located in the Central Business District of the Clark Freeport Zone, approximately 2 hours away from Metro Manila. It is also just a few minutes away from the newly-revamped Clark International Airport, making it one of the best choices for a stay before or after your flight. It is currently the only Department of Tourism-certified 5-star hotel in region 3 where guests can experience effortless relaxation and comfort.
We arrived just in time for their standard check-in time of 2:00pm and had to wait in their lounge as many guests lined up. No complaints, though, because their lounge is probably one of the best ones I’ve seen.
Guests are welcomed by their beautifully-adorned high ceiling and the lounge bar that offers refreshments and snacks. What I love the most about this space are the cubicles that offer a bit of privacy where you can work, even charge your gadgets, or just simply sit and rest while waiting.
In just a short while, we were next to check in. The process was a breeze, and our key cards were handed to us with warm smiles from the front desk staff.
I went straight to my room, a Deluxe Guest Room with 2 double beds. The curtains open to view the hotel’s pool and the mountains of Pampanga from afar.
I am impressed with how the natural light gets in, making the room cozy and can immediately put its occupant in a good mood. The room’s design is simple yet modern, but the most important highlight is that it can give you what you need and want for a revitalizing stay.
The room also has a small fridge, a safe box, complimentary drip coffee and tea, a closet with robes, slippers, an iron, and an ironing board. You can even leave your shoes and ask them to polish them for free! The bathroom has a wide powder space where guests can get ready easily, complete with toiletries and bottled water. You can also enjoy hot and cold showers and their good-smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body gel.
I remember waking up in this room feeling refreshed and well-rested because the beds were very comfortable, and the pillows were soft and firm.
For this stay, we had access to their breakfast buffet at the Goji Kitchen & Bar, one of the hotel’s restaurants. There were a lot of guests that morning because it was a weekend, but the attendants were prompt, and their system for accommodating everyone was well-organized.
I expected nothing but delicious breakfast offerings because this is a Marriott hotel, and I wasn’t disappointed. They have a table for Pinoy favorites like Pork Binagoongan, Afritada, and Beef Ampalaya. They also have a station for hot and fresh waffles, pancakes, egg and omelets, fruits and yogurt, pastries and desserts, juices and other beverages, cereals, and even taho.
My favorite part, which delighted me the most, was when they asked for my coffee and granted my iced latte request. Shortly after I returned to my table, the latte was already served, and it was so good! I finished my breakfast with it in no time, and I can’t help but still think about the food I haven’t tried yet, even after I felt full. I’d definitely go back here again for their breakfast buffet!
Apart from the breakfast buffet, as a cafe enthusiast, I had to try the coffee from Urban Lounge, a coffee shop in the hotel’s lobby. If you’re into strong and sweet chocolate-y coffee, I recommend you try their Italian Mocha.
For this stay, we were entitled to use their featured amenities, such as the Fitness Center, Outdoor Pool, sauna, and jacuzzi inside their Quan Spa spa.
Although I never got the chance to try these amenities during this visit, I enjoyed lounging by the pool and the fresh air of this alfresco setup. The pool area also has a bar so guests can get drinks and snacks after swimming.
The Fitness Center is also something I’d like to try next time. It’s small but has everything you’ll need for a full body or targeted workout.
As much as I’d like to extend my stay at this hotel, it’s time to say goodbye and return to Manila. As for checking out, we didn’t have any trouble. I always notice that the hotel staff never let me carry my bag alone! They are always ready to help and be of service.
There’s something about 5-star accommodations that you’d want to return for more, and for Clark Marriott Hotel, I guess it’s their warmth and impeccable service. There’s truly no wonder Marriott hotels are award-winning because they always give the best and most extraordinary experiences.
