UNIQLO 2019 Fall/Winter Collection
Manila, Philippines — Real travelers know that it’s only when you’re cozy and warm even at sub-zero temperatures that you can truly enjoy winter destinations. At the recent preview of Uniqlo’s 2019 Fall/Winter Collection, fashion stylist Pam Quinones shared tips on how to dress up for the cold:

Optimize your wardrobe
By optimizing your wardrobe, you can pack less and get more out of what’s in your suitcase. You can start little by purchasing neutral clothes that are easy to match with your statement pieces, as well as investing in garments that perform double duty. Quinones recommends Uniqlo’s Heattech line for a technologically-advanced warmth but without the bulk. The collection includes a range of tops, tights, leggings, shorts, and socks all made of lightweight material that is easy to move into and is great for layering under jeans or sweats.

Here are some of the highlight pieces from the collection:
Women’s HEATTECH Jersey Scoop Neck Short Sleeve T-shirt (P590) Made with warming HEATTECH material Features bio-warming, moisture-wicking, and insulating properties. It’s also made with stretch material for a fitted feel that won’t add bulk.
Men’s HEATTECH Ultra Warm Crew Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt (P1,290) Updated interior stitching with minimal friction that makes it the ideal undershirt and has argan oil moisturizer that gives it a gentle feel Made with sturdy fabric and a soft, fluffy pile lining that gives excellent insulation.
Women’s HEATTECH Extra Warm Leggings (P990) Made warmer than the regular HEATTECH and excellent moisture retention for supple comfort against the skin Features superb stretch that allows excellent movement worn as an inner layer.

Wander light
Quinones shared that like many other enthusiastic travelers out there, she also once fell in the trap of packing too much. That was until it came to her that packing light doesn’t mean sacrificing style or comfort, but it does require rethinking such travel basics. UNIQLO’s Ultra Light Down collection offers a variety of outerwear. Its lightness, warmth, and trendy voluminous silhouettes make it a functional yet chic essential for the season.
Here are some of the highlight pieces from the collection:
Men’s Ultra Light Down Jacket (P3,490) Has a pocketable design in a compact size for easy carrying. Made with a durable water-repellent coating that keeps out light rain and snow Updated this season with a finely adjusted waist for a trim silhouette.
Men’s Ultra Light Down Puffer Jacket (P4,490) Has water-repellent coating that keeps out light rain and has a pocketable design in a compact size for easy carrying With elastic cuffs for a better fit
Women’s Ultra Light Down Cocoon Jacket (P3,990) Has durable water-repellent coating and has a pocketable design that can be stored in the carrying pouch. Made in longer length for better coverage.

Invest in pieces that have insulation properties
The key to comfort in cold-weather destinations is proper insulation. Acting as a mid-layer, its job is to keep you warm and can fit more loosely than your base layer. Because you are wearing a moisture-wicking first layer, the insulating layer will receive a lot of the transferred dampness. Uniqlo’s Fleece lineup wraps its wearers in a soft and warm fleece body. It’s the perfect cold-weather clothing and offers versatile and sophisticated designs and silhouettes that can be fashion items even in the city.
Here are some of the highlight pieces from the collection:
Men’s Fleece Long Sleeve Full Zip Jacket (P1,290) Updated to a finer-textured fleece and has an added a zipper pull to make it easier to open and close when wearing gloves Available in a range of seasonal and fashionable colors and designs.
Women’s Fluffy Yarn Fleece Full-Zip Jacket (P1,290) Made in fluffy fleece material with a long pile for comfort and warmth. It features widened sleeves and hem tape for a more relaxed feel. These are available in soft colors in a gradient tone to match the fuzzy texture.
For the stylish bunch, Uniqlo also introduced its Coat and Flannel lineup.
