Globally Empowered: International Hospitality and Tourism Students Receive their First International Certification

Manila, Philippines — In line with the vision to produce service-oriented professionals who are competent, caring, and committed, Far Eastern University’s Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (FEU-ITHM) offered its first Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) certification workshop from the renowned American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) through its partnership with Asia World Hospitality Philippines last March 21-23, 2019. AHLEI is the education arm of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), the largest lodging association in North America.

CGSP is an international certification program that is globally recognized by the industry to develop guest and service-oriented working professionals. FEU-ITHM offered the certification to its graduating students and alumni to give them a competitive edge as a future tourism and hospitality workforce. In addition, CGSP is also part of the Institute’s faculty development program.

The first batch of takers successfully passed the certification exam and FEU-ITHM is now gearing up for the next batch of workshop for its faculty, graduating students, and alumni in November 27 – 29, 2019.
