Our newest discovery the JOYROOM JR-TL1 Mini Portable TWS headphone is packed with amazing features and we can’t get enough of it. This one stands out from the rest of the product line because of its ergonomic design and IPX7 waterproof feature – which means no fear from listening to music and answering calls even if it’s raining! *quite a feature, right?

What’s Inside the Box

The JOYROOM JR-TL1 Mini Portable TWS headphone came with earbud tips, a 500mAh charging case, a user manual, and a cable. In its packaging, it mentioned a main-slave switching where the left and right earphones can be used independently and switched at will which is a huge plus point for this gadget. Another thing is that after trying to drop some water in the earbuds and a slight whisk after, it still works well just like what is said on the package description.

What we also liked about it is the triangular-shaped earbuds with rounded corners, its multi-function button, a microphone, a charging contact pin, and an LED indicator light. Upon wearing the earbuds, you can immediately feel the comfort, with its size measuring 6.5 x 3 x 3cm.

As you can see in the charging case, there are four white LEDs that act as a battery indicator. If the four light lits up, that means your battery is charged with about 75%-100% and between 50% when there are only two lights that light up, and one light, if your battery, is almost drained.

Performance

Compare to other Bluetooth devices we’ve tried before, the JOYROOM JR-TL1 Mini Portable TWS headphone connects automatically upon taking the buds out of the charging case. You’ll know that it’s successfully paired when you hear the “dong” sound, and the LED turns on its blue light. All you have to do is turn on your Bluetooth device and search for the JR-TL1.

We’ve also noticed that its outer surface is touch-sensitive. If you want to play or pause while listening to music, tap the earbud once. To skip, tap the right bud twice, and double-tap the left bud if you want to play the previous track.

If you’re driving and want to answer a call, tap any side of the bud for one second. However, if you want to activate Google Assistant and Siri, all you have to do is tap wither the side of the buds for three times.

It’s enjoyable to use because its battery life lasts up to 6 hours of music playback. When it comes to the audio quality, it’s got punchy lows but not much deep bass. Overall, listening to music is much more enjoyable thanks to its soft earbuds and great audio quality.
