Already one of the biggest tourist destinations in Asia, Hong Kong further cements their excellence with the placement of giant traditional lanterns all over the Central combined with special workshops for those who want to learn lantern making. These traditional lanterns are actually a prominent part of Chinese culture and is thus worth learning – even if you’re not Chinese.

Already, the 20th Year celebration has started with a “super fireworks wall” that lasted for a staggering 23-minute. It’s accompanied by LED Screens, music, and beam lights in what is dubbed to be one of the most expensive and jaw-dropping fireworks display since 1997. Lighting up the Hong Kong Skyline, the show measured up to 1,250 meters in length and was 300 meters up in the sky – guaranteeing that anyone within the city can see the display, no matter how far they may be from Central.
