Duty Free Philippines to give discounts to Filipino travelers
In a bid to boost brand awareness among Filipino travelers and generate more revenue, Duty Free PH is now giving away more exciting discounts and deals.

Recently, DFP announced that outbound tour groups would receive a five percent discount if they shop at the Fiestamall in Parañaque City, which is the brand’s flagship store. There is a catch, though, as they have to buy only within 48 hours upon arrival.
Note also that partner travel agencies of DFP will give Filipino International Travelers (FITs) discount vouchers before their trip.

The aim, according to Vicente Pelagio Angala, the Chief Operating Officer of DFP, is to increase brand awareness as well as to encourage FITs to head to DFP to buy their “pasalubong” instead of shopping abroad.
“[This] is by highlighting our price advantage and striking a chord with customers’ sense of nationalism—that for every item bought at Duty Free, they help in the development of the Philippines tourism industry,” said Angala in an interview, based on the article posted on pna.gov.ph.
It is worth noting that the DFP is Department of Tourism’s attached agency.
Angala also told Philippine News Agency that the DFP is optimistic that this campaign can boost traffic in its flagship store in Parañaque. It can also generate more revenue from its existing clientele and generate new sales leads.
It is also good to note that its products are already “tax-free.”
DFP is also proud to announce that it now sells products from more exclusive brands that include Gucci Beauty. It can be remembered that the brand launched its collection in the country via a partnership with DFP.

According to Angala, these brands enter the market in the country, through DFP stores, “because of the trust and confidence” built by the DFP brand through the years.
At the moment, DFP is presently renovating the Fiestamall. The upgrading is expected to end towards the end of November.
