The Gelato World Tour is an event organized by the Carpigiani Gelato University and Sigep-Rimini Fiera. Its main purpose is to recognize the best artisanal chefs in the world and showcase the tastes and flavors of Italian-style artisanal gelato. Those who visited during those three days were treated to free seminars and training on gelato making, and were invited to vote for their favorite flavors. And they chose BONO Gelato.
BONO is derived from the Italian buono which means “good,” and they did not lie. Chief R&D of BONO Gelato Zarah Zaragoza-Manikan demonstrated how to use of common ingredients of the Philippines – in this case purple yam jam and rum-soaked dried mango – to make a truly unique and irresistible gelato that would excite international fervor. How much more patriotic can you get?
Bono Artisanal Gelato’s Mango Ube Symphony entry won the People’s Choice Award
BONO Artisanal Gelato first opened its doors at the end of 2012, and the emphasis has always been the use of the finest and all-natural ingredients using the most modern Italian gelato making technology without sacrificing authenticity. The results are truly delicious. There is nothing like the taste of slow-churned gelato made fresh daily in small batches. Proper storage of the finished product is essential, as air and light can alter the consistency and flavor of the gelato. Instead of displaying the product in glass cases, BONO Gelato stores them in special Pozzetto cabinets that keeps the product at a constant ideal temperature and hidden from the contaminating effects of air and light.
Want a taste of Mango Ube Symphony? You can now have a scoop for P100 throughout the month of April at any of the BONO Gelato stores found in Mega Fashion Hall – SM Megamall, The Podium, SM Southmall and Aura Premier.
