After visiting Camiguin’s famous sunken cemetery, we proceeded to Ardent Spring Resort for a short relaxation. It was my third time visiting the resort and I was really impressed on how the local government maintain the resort.

Ardent Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort is one of the main tourist attractions of Camiguin. This natural pool is about 39 degree Celsius hot and i also popularly known as Ardent Hot Springs.
Located in Esperanza Tagdo, Southwest of Mambajao this resort ranks third among more than a dozen lodging options in Mambajao.
Ardent Hibok-Hibok Spring Resort has a stunning landscape covered with shrubs, ornamental plants, huge endemic trees and natural stone formation. Facilities like cottages, dormitories and coffee shops are available at the resort. In addition, there are picnic huts, public restrooms and cooking facilities for day trippers as well.

For those who are looking for additional activities, Dart and table tennis are among the other amenities provided at the resort. Other than the trees and concrete stairs surrounding the pools, there are also spas and restaurants, which are hotspots for the tourists. The natural ambience at the resort makes it an ideal holiday spot for relaxation.
The temperature of the pool can be attributed to the effects of Mt. Hibok-Hibok, an active volcano of Camiguin Islands. It is also called Catarman Volcano. The pools are opened around the clock, that is, for twenty four hours every day of the week. The resort directs men and women to be dressed in bathing suits to swim in the pool. The resort however restricts children unassisted by parents to use the pool.

The resort takes a keen interest in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool. Use of shampoo and soap in the pool is completely restricted by the resort authorities. As further steps in preserving the quality of the natural pools, smoking, eating and drinking in the pool by the guests are also strictly prohibited. The water in the pool is blue as well as crystal clear as a result of the highly guarded precautionary measures of the resort. Ardent Hot Spring has been made a real resort by the Municipality of Mambajao.
The Ardent Hot Spring resort, a venture of the Municipality of Mambajao is one of the major sources of revenue for the town. With the establishment of the project, the town has seen a rise in tourist activities. The water possesses medicinal value also. The presence of sulphur in the water is considered to have induced the ability to cure illness.
The resort has set the time for bath at 20 minutes on the basis of the temperature of the pool. The pool is said to be ideal to cure muscle aches and joint pains too. Many people who have been on visits to the resort have termed the pool to be rejuvenating where all tiredness can be washed away. A visit to the place would offer a unique experience and will never be wasteful.
Entrance fees at Ardent Hot Springs is only Php 30 for adults and Php 15 for children.
