AirAsia Introduces New Flights from Davao to Clark, Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay: Here’s What We Know So Far

AirAsia is bringing Davao closer to other top tourist destinations in the Philippines. The airline has recently opened its newest flights from Davao to Clark, Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay via Caticlan Airport.

“Davao is an important gateway to Mindanao and we are thrilled to bring Davao much closer to Northern Luzon via Clark, to Visayas via Cebu, and to the best island destinations of Boracay and Palawan,” said Philippines AirAsia CEO Captain Dexter Comendador.

Beginning April 22, the airline will fly from Davao to Boracay every day; Cebu, twice every day; Clark, 4x every week; and Palawan, 3x every week. AirAsia will use its Airbus A320s or jets that can accommodate up to 180 guests per flight. The airline also maintains its Manila-Davao flights, 3x every day.

Partnership Agreement

AirAsia has teamed up with Davao Tourism to make Davao a great tourist destination in the country. To achieve such goal, AirAsia and Davao Tourism formally signed a partnership agreement during the launching ceremonies in Davao. Present in the said event are DoT Assistant Secretary for Mindanao Edith David, DoT Regional Director Roberto Alabado, and Captain Dexter Comendador.

The partnership covers the joint marketing projects and activities to promote Davao in the country and in the massive network of AirAsia Group. Also, part of the agreement is to offer low fares for its Manila-Davao flights, including the latest routes, to entice more travelers to enjoy what Davao has to offer.

#ChasingWonders

The company has also launched its latest destination campaign dubbed #ChasingWonders. The project is aimed to attract tourists to discover Philippines’ finest destinations – not only in Davao, but also in other parts of the country.
